As a football coach, what JoePa did will forever make him a legend in the sport and that can not be taken away from him. However, to essentially turn a blind eye to what was being done in an effort to protect the university is something that can not be overlooked. Though a tough situation, I think it was the right choice for him to go now. He was and has been the most powerful man in the state of PA for decades and should have went to the authorities immediately upon finding out what that sick f@cker did. Even in his apology he only talked about doing right by the university and by the kids he coached, not once did he acknowledge how his decision to not step up affected the kids that had been harassed. He was a football legend that remained loyal to PSU for over 40 years and in the end I think that is what did him in; loyalty at the cost of morality is never the right choice.
